ABOUT
Bridget Stamp is a free-range, politically atheististic, backwoods Sculptor and fabricator currently located in the back forty of Pennsylvania, somewhere along what is referred to as the Rust Belt of America.
Shortly after achieving her MFA in Sculpture from Kent State University she began building Shantytown during a pandemic. A space for individuals to experience a limitless learning environment. As an eccentric mother with an eclectic skill set Bridget explores, with a broad based foundation, new and old ways for her daughter to evolve at her own pace while being a part of shared sustainble creative communities. Presently she is networking with like minded community spaces to weave global possibilities into local mindsets.
In her artistic practice the work focuses on an exploration of landscape formations. Using primarily raw materials, such as wood, metal, and glass, Bridget constructs a metaphor for the way identity evolves from memories and scars.
